Human serum albumin, is serum albumin found in human blood. The most abundant protein is found in blood plasma, thus it was made from tobacco and potato plants

Kentucky Bioprocessing LLC, receives approval for field of tobacco. Tobacco expresses bovine lung aprotinin. Aprotinin is a trypsin inhibitor used to stem bleeding during surgeries.

Ventria Biosciences receives approval for a field of rice that engineered pharmaceutical proteins that included lactoferrin which control immune responses in infants. As well as food additive, lysozyme, serum albumin, and transferrin, iron binding protein.

2018

Dance Biopharm Holdings Inc. develops soft mist inhalable formulations of biologics. They have developed phase I/IIa as a portable hand held mist insulin inhaler for people with diabetes.
